Bio

Aisling Kelliher is an Assistant Professor in Industrial Design with a joint appointment as Assistant Professor in Media Communication Systems and Media Theory with the Arts, Media, and Engineering Program at Arizona State University. Aisling holds degrees Communication Studies, Multimedia Systems and Media, Arts, and Sciences. She previously taught multimedia programming and digital video production in the Computer Science Department at Trinity College, Dublin where she also coordinated the Master in Multimedia Systems program. At ASU, Aisling teaches classes in media theory, multimodal environments, and experiential design. She co-leads the Situated Communication Group with Professor Hari Sundaram in the Arts, Media, and Engineering Program. Aisling develops everyday software applications for creating and sharing rich-media story composition. Her research interests include rich-media storytelling, media annotation and archiving, integrated sensing technologies, and therapeutic design.
