Bio - English
Claudio Vekstein is an Architect and Professor in the Masters of Architecture Program, School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, Arizona State University, USA (since 2002), and has run his architecture practice specializing in the Architecture of Public Works, both in Buenos Aires Argentina (since 1996), and in Phoenix Arizona (since 2002). His built works include the Extension for the Fine Arts School and Access to the Ernesto de la Cárcova Museum (1996-02), the Monument Homage to Amancio Williams (1999), River Coast Park and Amphitheater (2000-01), Institute for Rehabilitation of the Disabled (2001-04), Emergency Room for Vicente López Hospital (2004-05), all in Buenos Aires; other projects are on the way to construction in Arizona. His work has been published and exhibited in Argentina, Brazil, México, USA, Spain, Germany, Holland, Austria, South Africa, and has been awarded the Annual Award by the Buenos Aires Architects Association (2001), the Vitruvio Award for Integration of Art and Architecture by the National Fine Arts Museum Buenos Aires (2002), the ACSA Faculty Design Award, by the Association of Collegiate Schools of Architecture, USA (2003), and more recently the First Prize for the Latin-American Award on Hospital Architecture and Engineering by the Association of Hospital Architecture and Buenos Aires Architects Association (2006) for the Rehabilitation Institute. Born in 1965 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, he studied at the School of Architecture and Urbanism Buenos Aires University, later he became disciple of South American master architect Amancio Williams, and completed Master Studies at the Frankfurt Art Academy in Germany under Profs. Enric Miralles and Peter Cook.

Claudio Vekstein es Arquitecto y Profesor permanente del Programa de Master de la Escuela de Arquitectura y Paisajismo de la Arizona State University, EEUU (desde el año 2002), y desarrolla paralelamente su práctica arquitectónica especializada en la Arquitectura de la Obra Pública tanto en Buenos Aires Argentina (desde 1996) como en Phoenix Arizona (desde el 2002). Sus trabajos construidos incluyen la Extensión de la Escuela Superior de Bellas Artes y el Acceso al Museo de Escultura Comparada Ernesto de la Cárcova (1996-02), el Monumento en Homenaje a Amancio Williams (1999), el Paseo y Anfiteatro de la Costa de Vicente López (2000-01), el Instituto Municipal de Rehabilitación de Vicente López (2001-04), la Guardia del Hospital Municipal de Vicente López (2004-05), todo esto en Buenos Aires, Argentina; otros proyectos públicos están actualmente en vías de construcción en Arizona. Sus trabajos han sido publicados y exhibidos en Argentina, Brasil, México, EEUU, España, Alemania, Holanda, Austria, Sudáfrica, y fueron premiados por el Colegio de Arquitectos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires (2001), el Museo Nacional de de Bellas Artes de Buenos Aires (2002), la Asociación de Escuelas Colegiadas de Arquitectura, EEUU (2003) y acaba de recibir el Primer Premio Latinoamericano de Arquitectura e Ingeniería Hospitalaria otorgado por la SCA y AADAIH (2006) por el Instituto de Rehabilitación. Nacido en 1965 en Buenos Aires, Argentina, Vekstein estudió en la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad de Buenos Aires, fue último discípulo del maestro arquitecto Amancio Williams, y realizo Estudios de Postgrado en la Academia de Artes Staedelshule de Frankfurt, Alemania, bajo los Profs. Arqs. Enric Miralles y Peter Cook.
