Welcome to the Healthcare Design Initiative. The burgeoning field of healthcare design has created an environment and need for the industry’s next generation of leaders. As the built environment is further recognized for its contribution to the healing experience, designers have a tremendous opportunity to directly affect change in our country’s healthcare system.
Partnering with the College of Nursing and Health Innovation, the Healthcare Design Initiative welcomes those students who want to be educated and empowered leaders, primed to influence the interdisciplinary charge toward desperately needed changes in healthcare design, communication and processes. This program will graduate critical thinkers who will address the multi-layered issues facing the healthcare industry. By focusing on excellence in patient care delivery, facility operations and the healing environments, the ultimate goal of the Healthcare Design Initiative is improving the overall patient healing experience.
