Research interests

I am interested in what Design and Design Research can do to help people transform their lives into something happier and more sustainable. My thesis research is focused on exploring the user experience of repairing consumer products.

Why did you choose the MSD program?

ASU is one of the few graduate Design programs in the country focusing on Design Research. I chose ASU because, though it is a large university, it is an intimate program with excellent professors and opportunities.

What is the best aspect of the MSD program?

My favorite characteristic of the MSD program is the ability to explore my own ideas. The self-led nature of the program allows me to pluck knowledge and guidance from the ASU community, without it prescribing my direction. This ensures that, upon graduation, I have had the chance to produce something wholly original.
