Brian McMahon, MSD 2001
Senior Vice-President, Lieberman Research Worldwide (LRW)
Head of Qualitative Research

Why did I select the MSD Program
I was interested in a graduate program that could accommodate my very busy professional responsibilities while providing a high-quality university degree in a challenging and international learning environment.

What was the most significant learning experience in the MSD Program?
The component of the experience that had the most impact for me was the faculty in terms of availability, collegiality, and the transparency of interaction. I was able not only to learn from but to contribute also to the program.

How did earning the MSD assist me in my present position?
I work in the confluence of user discovery and product/service innovation, which we study and evaluate to help our clients optimize offerings and forecast revenue implications of decisions. An advanced understanding of design and the design process, as well as ready access to the vocabulary of the creative professional, has enabled me to provide more actionable recommendations to our clients.
