Why did I select the MSD Program
The MSD program was positioned to offer a more comprehensive and scientific understanding of design rather than offering yet another 2 or 3 year studio program. These qualities met my goal of obtaining a higher degree in design all the while gaining a better understanding of design.
What was the most significant learning experience in the MSD Program?
The serious attitude toward design facilitated by appropriate research methodology.
How did earning the MSD assist me in my present position?
The MSD program changed me from a designer trained in the traditional way to a design researcher by not only by educating me in research methods but, more importantly, by also providing me with a more comprehensive view of design within the product development process.
