SCHOOL OF PLANNING

 

DEGREE PROGRAMS

The School of Planning is comprised of two degree programs—the Master of Urban and Environmental Planning and the Bachelor of Science in Planning. A planner’s role as change agents distinguishes these two professional, accredited planning degrees from other academic units at ASU involved in urban issues.

Graduate Degrees

Master of Urban and Environmental Planning (M.U.E.P.)

This MUEP is accredited by the Planning Accreditation Board (PAB), and is an interdiciplinary, professional degree designed to prepare students for leadership roles in planning in the public and private sectors.

Doctor of Philosophy in Environmental Design and Planning (Ph.D.)

Many of the School of Planning faculty participate in the Ph.D. program.  The Ph.D. is a collegewide, interdiciplinary degree with concentrations in planning, desing, and history, theory, and criticism.
