PURL is located on the Downtown Phoenix campus of Arizona State University. PURL occupies the 8th and 9th floors of the historic Security Building on the southwest corner of Central Ave. and Van Buren. Enter the Security Building through the Visitor Entrance on Central Ave.
Public Transportation: We highly encourage all visitors to use the new Metro light rail system. Be sure to use the Central Station stop (Central and Van Buren), located across Van Buren from PURL, directly to the north. Most bus lines also access the Central Station as well. Passes are good for both light rail and bus systems.
Valley Metro (light rail and bus) U-Passes are available at a very low rate for ASU students. To get your U-Pass, go to the Tempe Parking and Transit office and pick up your free bus pass. Schedules can be viewed on www.valleymetro.org.
Public Parking: There are several pay garages and lots in downtown Phoenix. The nearest garage is the Ampco Autoramp Garage that can be accessed from Van Buren Street between Central Avenue and First Avenue, across from the Central Bus Station, and from First Avenue and west of the Security Building. Cost: $1/20 minutes, maximum $12/day.
Visitors may also purchase a day pass for the University Center Parking Structure online.
Students, faculty, and staff with ASU parking decals, can use the ASU Downtown Campus lot at 320 N. 4th Avenue (about 4 blocks west of PURL, just north of Van Buren).
