School of Architecture + Landscape Architecture Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts

MASTER OF SCIENCE IN THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT (MSBE)

Admissions

The School of Architecture + Landscape Architecture also offers a Master of Science in the Built Environment (MSBE) degree, intended for students who already hold a professionally accredited degree in Architecture (BArch or MArch), Landscape Architecture (BSLA or MLA) or a BS or MS in either engineering or science. The MSBE is accepting applications for the energy performance and climate-responsive architecture concentration; currently, we are not accepting applications for the design knowledge and computing or the facilities, development, and management concentrations. Concurrent application to both MArch and MS degree programs is possible, and each application is evaluated by the respective admission committees separately.
