Our featured lecturer for November is Charles Renfro of Diller Scofidio + Renfro, an interdisciplinary design studio that integrates architecture, the visual arts and the performing arts based in New York City.
About the 2018–19 Lecture Series
This year's theme will focus on "experimentation." Lecturers will discuss how they are pushing boundaries in their field as well as share compelling examples of experimentation within their profession and the design world.
About Charles Renfro
Charles Renfro is a partner at Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Diller Scofidio + Renfro's major work includes the High Line and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts redevelopment, both in New York; The Broad in Los Angeles; and Zaryadye Park in Moscow.
Renfro is currently leading the design of the Museum of Image and Sound in Rio de Janeiro; the Tianjin Juilliard School in China; and Adelaide Contemporary, a new gallery in Australia. Renfro is the recipient of Wall Street Journal's 2017 Architecture Innovator Award and the Texas Medal of Arts Award. He is also a National Academician. He is a faculty member of the School of Visual Arts.
