Join The Design School for our free lecture series featuring lead designers and design thinkers from around the world.
This year's theme will focus on "Experimentation." Lecturers will discuss how they are pushing boundaries in their field as well as share compelling examples of experimentation within their profession and the design world.
September's featured lecturers are Roberto Behar and Rosario Marquardt of R & R Studios. Roberto and Rosario will share a lecture on "Building Stories," based on their experiences as leading architects in their field.
About Roberto Behar and Rosario Marquardt
R & R STUDIOS, the collaborative office of Roberto Behar and Rosario Marquardt is a multidisciplinary practice weaving together visual arts, design, architecture and urban design. Celebrated, as one critic put it “as architects of hope” their works propose encounters of stories and spaces for a better world. R & R STUDIOS is organized as a small workshop and project based think tank, concentrating on public and civic projects. Roberto has been a visiting artist at the Getty Center for the History of the Humanities and a Fellow at the American Academy in Rome. The work of R & R has been published in over 250 publications worldwide and four monographs. R & R STUDIOS selected solo exhibitions include the Perez Art Miami Museum, Denver Museum of Contemporary Art, Madison Museum of Art, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires and galleries and institutions around the world. Roberto and Rosario teach at the University of Miami, School of Architecture.
