Biography

Rebecca Fish Ewan is the author of A Land Between: Owens Valley, California (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2000), which won a  National ASLA award, and the forthcoming hybrid creative nonfiction book, By the Forces of Gravity (Books by Hippocampus, 2018). She holds degrees in mathematics, landscape architecture, and creative writing, and teaches landscape design, history and theory courses. Her research is grounded in the connections between people and place, and the creative and cultural expressions that evolve from these connections.
